Tour 1 – Banff & Lake Louise Tour

Motorcoach will follow the Trans-Canada Highway west into the foothills as the majestic Canadian Rockies rise ahead. Travel along the Bow Valley Parkway. Passing stately Castle Mountain, your route winds through the mountains to picturesque Lake Louise. You will have time to walk along the shore and capture the perfect photo of the lake with it's spectacular Victoria Glacier backdrop. At Lake Louise plenty of time is allowed to stroll the lakeshore trails, grab a bit to eat, or explore the historic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. From here, our journey takes us to the picturesque setting of Moraine Lake prior to our departure to Banff.  Once in Banff, enjoy a commentated tour that includes Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos Lookout. Prior to your return at about 3:30 pm explore downtown Banff on your own.

Tour 2 – Golf – The Links of GlenEagles

Tour 3 – Hike –  Ribbon Creek Falls in the Canadian Rockies

Ribbon Creek Falls

Height gain: 1020ft over 11 km (6.8 miles) one-way.

 

This popular trail follows a spectacular valley hemmed in by cliffs. This trail follows the winding course of ribbon creek as it gradually rises to the falls. The scenery along the way is magnificent and the mountain views divine. Mount Kidd looms to the south while Ribbon Creek and Mount Bogart tower to the north. This hike will take approximately 6 hours including a half hour lunch break at the falls. Ribbon Falls is worth every meter of the 11-kilometer hike.

 

Proper Hiking footwear required. (Mountain weather so layer your clothing)

Tour 4 – Calgary City Tour

Calgary’s legendary western roots and pioneering spirit are still evident in today’s dynamic city. This tour will introduce you to the best historic and modern highlights that Calgary has to offer. Highlight stops at Fort Calgary Historic Site (where the first permanent residents of Calgary lived) and Canada Olympic Park where you can take a ride up the ski jump tower. 

 

There will be a 3 hour stop at Chinook Centre – Calgary’s biggest Mall with plenty of shopping and entertainment.

Tour 5 – Drumheller  Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology

Located 80 mi northeast of Calgary in Alberta's Badlands, the Drumheller Red Deer River Valley is best known for its diverse and unique topography. Made up of mostly barren terrain that includes grasslands, hoodoos, canyons and coulees, the area provides a vast landscape that is worthy of discovery, perhaps from the gaping jaw of the world's largest dinosaur statue in downtown Drumheller, which visitors are encouraged to climb into. Drumheller is best known as the home of the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology, a world-class facility dedicated to the study of Drumheller's early residents, the dinosaurs. Visitors to the museum can explore hundreds of preserved fossils and take part in interactive displays and exhibits.

Drive by Motorcoach along the Trans Canada Highway through Alberta's rolling cattle country into the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountain peaks surrounding Banff. Experience the many scenic and heritage highlights of the area including the Banff Springs Hotel, Stoney Indian Reserve and Tunnel Mountain Drive. Along Tunnel Mountain Drive, enjoy a scenic view of the valley and wind-shaped hoodoos. This excursion allows free time in downtown Banff - for shopping and to have lunch prior to returning to Calgary.

On this half day tour, visit the Three Sisters in Canmore. Its ideal mountain location and the freedom it enjoys from the strict development restrictions that apply in the nearby parks have made Canmore the fastest-growing town in Canada, with the population having tripled in the last 20 years. Enjoy a short tour of the gateway to the Rockies and indulge yourself with a stroll along Main Street with its unique stores and galleries

Tour 8 – Hike # 2- Bragg Creek

A 2 hour hike in Kananaskis Country ( A popular playground in the Canadian Rockies.) Snack and water provided, with lunch and shopping after the hike, in the nearby village of Bragg Creek. The trail ( named Fullerton Loop ) is an EASY to slightly moderate, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike beginning along the Elbow River to scenic viewpoints from Ranger Ridge. Distance is 4 mile return. Bragg Creek has many local artisans and great souvenirs.

Tour 9 – Transportation to Chinook Mall for Shopping

Motorcoach transportation to Chinook Mall, starting at 9:30am. You will be on your own time to shop in Calgary’s largest indoor shopping centre. Chinook Centre is home to three major department stores, 200+ stores, and several full service restaurants. It still contains its original bowling alley, as well as the city's largest movie theatre complex, the Famous Players Paramount Calgary, with 16 screens and an IMAX.

The motorcoach will be available for return to the Hyatt  at 2:00pm

Tour 10 – Tour the Bernard Callebaut Chocolate Factory

Motor coach transportation to Bernard Callebaut Chocolate factory. A self-guided tour of the chocolate factory will provide you the Callebaut history of chocolate making that dates back to Belgium, 1911. Four generations later, Bernard Callebaut brought to America his family traditions and opened his chocolate factory in Calgary Alberta, 1982. His creations have been applauded by chocolatiers, chefs, authors, editors and chocolate lovers around the globe.

On completion of the chocolate factory tour the motor coach will travel to a restaurant for lunch.
